Posted : admin On 12/2/2019General Motors isn't calling it a recall, but Chevy Bolt electric vehicle owners are being notified about a battery problem that is affecting some of its cars on the road in what can only be described as an EV nightmare.
For a 'small percentage' of the 30,000 Bolt vehicles in use, the battery is not properly energized and the car doesn't warn that your range and charge is super low. The notice from earlier this month says in certain 2017 Bolt vehicles the battery issue 'may result in a loss propulsion.' That's not good for your commute.

The OnStar diagnostic system used in some Bolts is monitoring batteries and notifying owners through that system if they need to come in and have their battery replaced — free of charge. The diagnostic system pinpoints symptoms that could eventually lead to the battery problem.
Keep wiping untill you get ZERO residue coming off on the towels.On a new or freshly re-plated cylinder there can be alot of grit left in the crosshatch. 
You really cant see it or tell by just running a finger over it or wiping it dry.Np sir, any other questions just ask. After its dry take some clean paper towels and wipe down the bore repeatedly with a bit of ATF or premix(not sopping wet or anything, just enough to slightly wet the walls). Not to hi-jack your thread, closedcasket, but when I bolt on my shiny new cylinder, is there any cylinder wall preparation needed or do you just taker it out of the box, slap on a new piston, and bolt her back together?Thanks!!!Wash the whole cylinder good with dishwasing soap/mild degreaser.
